Liability : Coverage for if someone makes a claim against you for accidentally causing an injury-for example someone is hurt in your yard. The cost to defend you is also included
Your Home : Your home will be protected against losses from events such as fire or lightning; weight of ice, snow or sleet; windstorms; hail; theft or vandalism; and more.
Your Belongings : If your personal possessions - including furniture, clothing, and appliances - are damaged or stolen as a result of a covered loss, your "Personal Property" coverage limit will cover these items to be repaired or replaced.
Additional coverages and benefits
Agreed Loss Provision : If your home is destroyed by an inured loss, you receive the full "amount of insurance" for your home (minus any applicable deductible). No hassles.
Replacement Cost : Offered on both the home & personal property.
How your deductible works
A home insurance deductible is what you pay out of pocket to repair or rebuild your home, outbuildings and/or personal property when you suffer a covered loss.
For example, if you have a $1,000 deductible and $10,000 in repair costs for a covered loss, you'll pay $1,000 and your insurance company will pay the remaining $9,000.
You have a choice of deductible amounts; choosing a higher deductible lowers your insurance rate but requires a greater out-of-pocket expense should you have a covered loss.
